Kyrgyz president links good ties with China to national security, economic development

ALMATY, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said on Thursday that friendly relations with China were clearly linked with Kyrgyzstan's national security and economic development.

National interests were of top priority in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policies, and the country attached great importance to its friendly ties with neighboring countries, including China, Bakiyev said in his state of the union speech, according to reports reaching here from Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.

The president also said Kyrgyzstan would continue to carry out the agreements it had signed with other countries and take on the international responsibility included in those accords. Enditem
