BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- China has opened an interactive Internet portal to help raise awareness of health and healthy lifestyles.

The website, www.cm800.com, features live video to allow medical experts and netizens to interact.

Sponsored by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the website offers a wide range of services. Netizens can surf online for medical news, developments in the medical market, health care information for different age groups and seek advice from medical experts from across the country.

Besides the online system, video broadcasting systems will also be set up in major medical institutions, schools, public areas like train stations and shopping centers to teach people how to guard against illnesses and live health lifestyles. Enditem
