Seven killed, 3 seriously injured in highway crash in northeast

HARBIN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and three others seriously injured in an early morning bus-truck collision in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, local police sources said on Wednesday.

The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at a crossroad in the Pingfang District of Harbin, the provincial capital, where a long-distance sleeper bus crashed with a truck loaded with bean oil, police said.

Six died at the scene and another died later in hospital.

The injured, three still in critical condition, are been treated at a hospital in Harbin.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is under way. Enditem
