Japanese PM meets with Wang Jiarui

TOKYO, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Japanese prime minister and president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Shinzo Abe met with Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee here on Monday.

Wang led a group of CPC members who came to Tokyo for a three-day meeting with the LDP and New Komeito party members. Abe congratulated on the success of the meeting between Japanese and Chinese ruling parties.

Abe said that the recent successful meeting between leaders of the two countries has pushed the bilateral ties into a new era of strategic mutual beneficial relations. He added that the two sides should strengthen exchange and cooperation and contribute to regional and global peace and stability. Enditem
