Senior Chinese leader leaves for five-nation tour

BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, left here Monday morning to pay goodwill visits to Mexico, Venezuela, Suriname, Peru and Samoa.

;Li will pay the visits from March 19 to April 5 at the invitation of the governments of the five nations.
