Envoy meeting of nuke talks canceled

SHANGHAI, Mar 20 - -AN envoy meeting of nuclear talks was canceled this afternoon, Xinhua news agency reported.

Six delegation heads, from North Korea, South Korea, the United States, Japan, Russia and host China, were scheduled to attend the meeting.

Xinhua didn't reveal the reason of the cancellation.

Bilateral discussions between China and other five countries have ended, the report said.

US official said yesterday the United States and North Korea have resolved a dispute over US$25 million in frozen North Korean funds on yesterday's meeting, clearing the way for progress in dismantling the North's nuclear programs.
