Singaporean Senior Minister leaves Beijing for central China expo

BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong on Wednesday evening left Beijing for Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, continuing his four-day China tour.

On Thursday morning, Goh will meet with Chinese Vice Premier WuYi, attend the opening ceremony of the second Expo Central China, and deliver a speech at the senior official forum of the expo.

Goh started his China tour on Monday.

The three-day Expo Central China 2007 provides a platform to boost the central provinces' economic and trade relations with other regions and countries.

The Expo is co-sponsored by the six provincial governments of Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and Henan. The first Expo Central China was held in Changsha, capital city of Hunan in September 2006.
