Chinese Minister of Supervision dies of illness

BEIJING, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The funeral of incumbent Chinese Supervision Minister Li Zhilun was held here on Wednesday. He died of illness on April 28 at the age of 65.

Li was also the deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Li, a native of Jinzhou city of north China's Liaoning Province, joined the CPC in 1964.

He had worked with the CPC committee of Baoting county in Hainan Province and the central committee of the Communist Youth League of China. He had also been the president of China Youth Daily.
