Iron mine accident kills three in N China

HOHHOT, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Roof collapse has killed three miners in an iron mine in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in north China, local workplace safety officials said here Saturday.

The accident took place at Thursday night. Investigators have been sent to the spot, the regional workplace safety bureau said.

The iron mine, located in Sonid Youqi Banner, Xinlingol League, is run by the Fushanhong mining Co., Ltd. The accident occurred at the No. 1 shaft of the company, the officials said.
