MOSCOW, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The press center of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) will provide quality service to overseas journalists during the great events next year, a Chinese official of the committee pledged here on Tuesday.

Some 21,600 journalists have registered to report the sports games and more than 10,000 un-registered ones will also cover the events in the Chinese capital, Wang Hui, deputy director of the BOCOG publicity department told a press conference in Moscow.

The press center will provide such services as receiving and dealing with overseas journalists' applications for reporting and visa, helping them to address housing and catering problems and facilitate their interviews, the official said.

Most of the venues and gyms for the Olympics 2008 will be completed by the end of this year and Chinese citizens, as well as foreigners, can book tickets at local Olympic Committee.
