Chadian president starts China visit

BEIJING, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno arrived here Thursday morning, starting his state visit to China.

During his stay in Beijing, Deby is expected to hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, meet with Premier Wen Jiabao, and Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan.

This is Deby's second visit to China. According to the Foreign Ministry. His encourage includes his wife and several high-level officials.

China and Chad resumed diplomatic ties on Aug. 6, 2006.
