NAIROBI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- General Secretary of Athletics Kenya David Okeyo said on Friday that the success of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Game in Shanghai implied the Beijing2008 Olympic Games will be of high standard. Okeyo made the remarks on the sideline of the two-day Olympic Solidarity Forum preparing a delegation for participation in the Olympic Games, which was organized and funded by the International Olympic Committee and started on Thursday. "From we see on the television and the reports, the (Special Olympic) Games are well-organized and we have learned a lot from your organization and preparation work for the (Bejing Olympic) Games. That gives us a feeling that the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will also be of very high standard because we know that Chinese are very good organizers." The forum in Nairobi has attracted the participation of representatives from 11 English-speaking African countries. Similar fora have been held in Johannesburg of South Africa and Dakar of Senegal. The International Olympic Committee has, through the three activities, made contacts with representatives of over 50 African countries on their delegation preparation for the Beijing Olympic Games.
