BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Thursday sent a message of condolence to his Afghan counterpart Rangin Dadfar Spanta over the deadly suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan's northern province of Baghlan.

Over 60 people, including six lawmakers, were killed and more than 100 others were injured in the attack, which happened Tuesday in Baghlan, some 150 km north of the capital Kabul.

Yang said that the Chinese side strongly condemns the attack and expressed sympathy and deep condolence to the victims' families and the injured.

As its friendly neighbor, China will, as always, continue to support Afghanistan in its efforts at economic reconstruction and maintaining stability, Yang said.
