Senior CPC official meets Peru's defense minister

BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC), met here Friday with Peru's Defense Minister Allan Wagner.

Wang spoke highly of the smooth development of China-Peru relations and appreciated Peru's efforts in developing exchanges between political parties of the two countries.

The deepening political party exchanges between China and Peru have added new vigor to their traditional friendship and the CPC will continue strengthening cooperation with Peru's ruling Aprista party so as to contribute to bilateral ties, Wang said.

Wagner said Peru remains committed to stepping up friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
