Chinese DM leaves for visits to Kenya, Kuwait, Thailand

BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan left here Thursday night for visits to Kenya, Kuwait and Thailand.

Cao, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and a state councilor, started his official and goodwill visit to Kenya and Kuwait at the invitation of Kenyan Minister of State For Defense Njenga Karume and Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

He will then travel to Thailand to attend the celebration of Thai King's 80th birthday at the invitation of the country's Defense Minister Boonrawd Somtat.
