SHANGHAI, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- A French escort vessel, Fs Vendemiaire, with 91 officers and soldiers, arrived in Shanghai on Sunday for a six-day goodwill visit.

The 2,600-ton tonnage Fs Vendemiaire is scheduled to end its visit next Friday and leave the Chinese metropolis for the Philippines.

This is the second time for Fs Vendemiaire to visit Shanghai after the first time in Nov. 1997. The vessel also visited Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province in 2001, 2005 and 2006.
