YU Laishan and Chen Zhaoxiong were appointed vice governors of central China's Hunan Province yesterday.
The appointments were approved at the 31st session of the Standing Committee of the 10th Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Changsha Evening news reported today.
Yu Laishan, 55, was born in Yiyang, Hunan, and served as Party Secretary, director and member of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2004.
Chen Zhaoxiong, born in 1961 in Putian, in Fujian Province, was the general manager, vice chairman and deputy Party Secretary of China Electronics Corporation, the biggest state-owned IT company in China from 2005 to 2007.
The session also appointed Kang Weimin as the vice president of Hunan Supreme People's Court and approved the resignation of former president Jiang Bixin.
Kang, 51, a native of Ganzhou, in Jiangxi Province, took office as the president and Party Secretary of Jiangxi Supreme People's Court in January of 2003.
