CHENGDU, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers recovered another body on Friday in a flooded colliery in southwest China's Sichuan Province, bringing the death toll to four, with one still missing.
The body was found on Friday morning at Daping colliery in Kaijiang County, which was flooded at midday Thursday trapping five underground, according to the county government.
Three bodies were retrieved on Thursday.
The mine's owner and managers are in police custody. Some 1.2 million yuan (164,000 U.S. dollars) was raised to handle the aftermath.
Rescuers are still searching for the last missing miner.
CHENGDU, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Three miners were confirmed dead and two were missing after a coal mine flooded in southwest China's Sichuan Province, a local official said Thursday.
The colliery in Xintai Town, Kaijiang County was flooded near midday Thursday, said Yang Juan, the county's Communist Party chief.
