Four killed in south China fireworks factory blast

BEILIU, Guangxi, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Four workers were killed and one slightly injured after an explosion in a fireworks factory in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The blast occurred at 7:44 a.m. Saturday in a fireworks plant in Liujing Town, Beiliu City, a city government official said.

Four workers who were installing powder fuses were killed at the scene. A nearby worker was slightly injured. More than ten workshop rooms were destroyed.

Cause of accident is being investigated.
