Senior CPC official meets Colombian PDA party delegation

BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhua) -- He Yong, a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met here on Thursday with Carlos Gaviria, chairman of Colombia's Alternative Democratic Pole party (Polo Democratico Alternativo. or PDA in Spanish).

During the meeting with Gaviria, He congratulated on the establishment of party-to-party relations between the PDA and the CPC, noting that the CPC is willing to develop friendly ties with the PDA and promote the development of China-Colombia ties.

Gaviria said this is the first time that the PDA sends a delegation to visit China and the visit is very successful.

Gaviria said his PDA party is eager to set up long-term, stable and cooperative relationship with the CPC and strengthen exchanges of the two parties in various fields so as to bring benefits to the two peoples.
