UAE vice-president concludes China trip

BEIJING, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s Vice-president and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, concluded his four-day China trip here on Thursday and left Beijing for home.

During his stay, President Hu Jintao and Vice-President Xi Jinping both met with him. Premier Wen Jiabao held official talks with him.

Mohammed also visited Shanghai on Wednesday and attended a China-UAE economic and trade forum.

In his meeting with Shanghai mayor Han Zheng, Mohammed said his country had undertaken broad cooperation with China in the fields of economy, energy, investment and other areas in recent years. The UAE expected to further strengthen trade ties with China.

Han told him that Shanghai would like to step up exchanges and cooperation with the UAE in the areas of trade, city planning and tourism.
