S Korea vows to eusure successful Olympic torch relay

SEOUL, April 11 (Xinhua) -- The South Korean government fully supports the ongoing Olympic torch relay and is making all efforts to ensure the torch relay in Seoul a success, Foreign Ministry spokesman Moon Tae-young said Friday.

South Korea welcomes the Olympic torch relay to Seoul on April 27 and is making positive preparations for the event, the spokesman told Xinhua through a telephone interview.

The South Korean government and the Seoul Metropolitan Government are looking forward to a successful Olympic torch relay in Seoul and expects the event will be a good opportunity to introduce Seoul to the world, he added.

The Olympic flame of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games arrived Thursday in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires, the seventh leg of its global journey.
