BEIJING, April 15 (Xinhua) -- China is willing to join hands with Thailand to push forward bilateral strategic cooperation, said Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Tuesday.
Yang made the remarks when he met with visiting Thai Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama. They exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
China and Thailand maintain a close relationship. The two countries share mutual benefits in economic exchanges, and cooperate well in international and regional affairs, said Yang.
Noppadon said Thailand is willing to work with China to push ahead with Thailand-China good-neighborly relations. He also expressed his confidence in a complete success of Beijing Olympic Games.
Noppadon reiterated the One-China policy, noting that the Tibet issue is Chinese internal affairs. Thailand opposes connecting it with Beijing Olympics.
