HANOI, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Thirty Vietnamese fishermen and one Chinese fisherman were rescued by a Vietnamese fishing ship after their ships sank in a storm in Vietnam's central Quang Ngai province, local newspaper Labor reported Monday.
The Vietnamese fishing ship coded 6308 QNG fished the 24-year-old Chinese man named Wu Qiuli out of the sea on April 17. However, the ship sank on the same day due to strong waves. Then, another local fishing ship coded 94267TS-QNG rescued the people on the 6308 QNG and sent them ashore.
On April 20, Vietnamese border forces in Ly Son island, Quang Ngai province received the 31 fishermen, including Wu, a resident of China's Hainan island, the newspaper said.
