SHIJIAZHUANG, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Two managers of a karaoke bar in north China's Hebei Province were jailed on Thursday for a fire that killed 11 people on November 14.
The Chengde County People's Court jailed Wang Ying, investor of the Gedu karaoke bar, for four years and Tian Yumin, the bar's legal representative, for three years because of their poor safety management of the facility.
Eleven people -- a bar manager and 10 waitresses -- suffocated to death from carbon monoxide in the fire.
Arsonist Jiang Dayong, 20, was convicted of setting fire to the bar and sentenced to death on April 8 by the Chengde Municipal Intermediate People's Court. Jiang, a waiter, set the bar alight in revenge for continual criticism of his work by an administrative officer.
