Lien Chan invited to Olympics

BEIJING, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Li Weiyi, spokesman of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said here Wednesday that the mainland has invited Lien Chan, honorary chairman of the Chinese Nationalist Party or the Kuomintang (KMT), to view the Beijing Olympic Games in August.
