Embassies of Asian countries in China offer donations to quake-hit Sichuan

BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Staff of the embassies of some Asian countries in China have donated more than 92,700 yuan (13,300 U.S. dollars) to China's quake-hit Sichuan Province, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
These diplomats also donated 145 T-shirts to the quake-hit area, according to the Ministry.
The diplomats expressed deep condolences to the Chinese government and people over the quake disaster on behalf of their respective governments, and said they believed the people in the quake-hit area would surely overcome the disaster and rebuild their homes under the leadership of the Chinese government, said the Ministry.
