Chinese premier leaves for Russia, Kazakhstan

BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here Monday afternoon for official visits to Russia and Kazakhstan.

Wen was invited by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Vladimirovic Putin and Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov.

During his visit to Russia, Wen will attend the 13th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian prime ministers.

Wen will attend the 7th prime ministers' meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries scheduled to be held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
