China's top political advisory body concludes annual session

BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The Second Session of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the top political advisory body, began its closing ceremony here Thursday morning.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the ceremony.

Top Communist Party of China and state leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao, Li Changchun, Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, He Guoqiang and Zhou Yongkang were present at the closing ceremony.

The 11th CPPCC National Committee has 2,235 members, and 2,103 of them attended the closing meeting of the annual session that kicked off on March 3.
