Two executed over terrorist attack on border police in China's Xinjiang

KASHI, Xinjiang, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Two people were executed in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Thursday for last August's terrorist attack on a frontier city's border police that left 17 dead and 15 others injured.

The Intermediate People's Court of Kashi Prefecture announced the death penalties approved by the Supreme People's Court before an audience of about 4,000 local officials and residents in Kashi City, also known as Kaxgar or Kashgar.
