Rain to hit N China in Dragon Boat Festival

BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Rains are expected across a large part of northern China from Thursday to Saturday, according to the National Meteorological Center (NMC).

The rain will should be light with temperature drops of three to seven degrees Celsius in the next three days -- also China's Dragon Boat Festival holidays.

Relatively strong showers are expected to hit eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Yunnan during holidays.

Rainstorms in southern China are expected to abate gradually during the holidays.
