ANCHORAGE, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo arrived here on Friday to continue his week-long official visit to the United States.

Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, arrived in Anchorage after a visit to Washington D.C. There he met with U.S. President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Wu discussed China-U.S. relations and other international and regional issues of common concern with the officials.

Wu arrived in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday as Pelosi's guest. His trip to the United States was the first official visit to America by a top Chinese legislator in the past two decades.

The United States was the final leg of Wu's three-nation America tour that also took him to Cuba and the Bahamas.
