OTTAWA, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon said Friday he is "looking forward to a very positive meeting" between Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Chinese leaders when Harper visits China in December.
Economy and matters concerning G20 countries would be the top issues to be discussed during Harper's China trip as the world is still struggling in global recession, Cannon told Xinhua at a press conference held in the French-speaking city of Gatineau.
Global security and bilateral issues will also be important topics to be discussed when leaders of the two countries meet, the minister said.
Harper will visit China on Dec. 2-6. This will be his first trip to China since he came to power in 2006.
