Six die in restaurant fire

JINAN, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and three injured early Thursday after a restaurant went on fire in eastern Shandong Province's Qingyun county, local authorities said.

Fire fighters rescued seven people, three of whom suffered minor injuries, said a spokesman with the county publicity department.

The fire occurred at 2:30 a.m. and was put off at 4:00 a.m., the spokesman said.

The police is investigating the cause of the fire, said the spokesman who gave no further details.
