Senior Chinese military official visits Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia

BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Vice Chairman of China's Central Military Commission Guo Boxiong left Beijing Tuesday for official goodwill visits to Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, the Chinese Defence Ministry said.

Guo received invitations to make the goodwill visit from Australian Defence Minister John Faulkner, New Zealand Defence Minister Wayne Mapp, and Indonesian Defence Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro.

During his visit, Guo will meet military and political leaders from the three countries and exchange views with them on bilateral relations and military relations.

He will also visit the military headquarters, armed forces and military institutions of the countries.
