Six killed, five injured in wall collapse in east China

JINAN, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and five injured Sunday after a wall of a factory building under construction collapsed in east China's Shandong Province, local authorities said.

The collapse happened at around 11 a.m. Sunday in a workshop of Changshi Electric Bicycle Manufacturing Company in Qingzhou City of Shandong. The workshop was under construction.

Six people died at the scene, while five were being treated in hospital, with two in a severe condition, a city government spokesman said.

The investigation into the accident was underway.
