BEIJING, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- High-ranking military officials of China and Britain on Thursday called for more cooperation and communication between the two countries' armies.

Hou Shusen, Deputy Chief of Staff of the People's Liberation Army of China, held talks with British Chief of the General Staff Peter Wall in Beijing.

Hou said China attached great importance to developing Sino-British military relations, and hoped both sides exploit potentials to push forward cooperation between the two countries' armies.

Wall said Britain recognized the importance of the relationship between the British and Chinese militaries. He expected to seek new areas of cooperation with the Chinese army in his visit.
