BEIJING, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Heavy rain is likely to batter most parts of southern China over the next three days, according to the National Meteorological Center's forecast on Saturday.
Heavy rain is expected to hit the eastern part of Guangdong Province, the southern part of Fujian Province, the northern part of Jiangsu Province, the eastern and southern parts of Shandong Province.
Meanwhile, thunderstorms are forecast for northern China and northeastern China over the same period.
Experts warn of possible flooding, landslides, mud-rock flows and building collapses triggered by rainstorms in southern China.
