HONOLULU, United States, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on Saturday stressed the need to make joint efforts under current circumstances to enhance the China-U.S. cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit.
The two leaders also had in-depth and candid discussions on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern, and reached important consensus.
They were meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, ahead of the Economic Leaders' Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
