Vice Premier meets Swiss minister, pledges closer cooperation

BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang met on Monday with Swiss Minister of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications Doris Leuthard, pledging closer cooperation between the two nations.

Zhang hailed the development of bilateral ties between China and Switzerland, highlighting close high-level interactions and smooth trade cooperation.

"China is willing to make joint efforts with Switzerland to boost exchanges and advance cooperation between the two nations in transportation, energy, environmental preservation and other areas to achieve win-win results," Zhang said.

Leuthard hailed China's sustained and rapid development and pledged to boost economic cooperation with the Chinese side.
