Two dead after east China bus crash

HANGZHOU, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Two people died and many others were injured after a tourist bus overturned in east China's Zhejiang Province on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 10 a.m. when the bus, carrying more than 30 people, lost control while cornering on a road made slippery by rain, in Tonglu county of Hangzhou city, rescuers said.

The crash threw many passengers out of the vehicle's windows, according to witnesses.

Rescuers with the local county government rushed to the site and sent more than 10 injured passengers to hospital.

So far, two people of them have died in hospital and the others are being treated.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
