CHANGSHA, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Seven miners have been killed in a gas outburst in central China's Hunan province on Sunday, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. at the Xiangzhong Coal Mine in the city of Lianyuan, the city government said in a press release. Thirty nine managed to escape.
An investigation into the the cause of the accident is under way.
