According to a report by Japan's Jiji Press, some Chinese diplomatic officials told the reporter that China will propose a principle of "Three don'ts" to solve the current dispute on Diaoyu Islands.
Three "don'ts" refer to Don't land on the islands; Don't conduct researches of resources or environment on the islands; Don't build any construction on the islands.
Chinese leaders reiterated the word "control" to Japanese senior officials on recent and various occasions, which sent a message that both countries should take their responsibilities to maintain a sound relationship.
Therefore, the next challenge is how to save the situation and put it under the control of both governments. After all, the ongoing crisis is caused by Tokyo municipal government's islands buying plot.
Meanwhile, according to a report by Taiwan media, councilors of Yilan County and officials of Toucheng Township plan to “erect a signpost” that reads “No. 1 Diaoyu Road, Toucheng Township” on Diaoyu Island in October.
