CHENGDU, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Sunday afternoon, starting a six-day official visit to China.

During his stay in the province, he will visit a project resulting from cooperation between Singapore and Sichuan, as well as Yingxiu Town, which was the epicenter of May 2008's devastating earthquake.

Besides Sichuan, Lee will also visit Beijing, where he will meet Chinese leaders including President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo, Vice President Xi Jinping and Vice Premier Li Keqiang.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, who invited Lee to visit China, will hold talks with him.
