China wants to share development opportunities with Nepal: Chinese Ambassador

KATHMANDU, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan Wednesday said that China would continue to promote the traditional friendship with Nepal by sharing development opportunities with the country.

Addressing a function organised to mark the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in the capital, Yang said that China wants to take the friendship established between Nepal and China for 57 years to a new height.

Yang also expressed his gratitude to all those who supported to the development of China and China-Nepal friendly relations.

During the 63 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, it successfully opened a road of development according to China's own national conditions and achievements in social and economic development, he said.

Ambassador Yang said China would continue to work together with other countries to safeguard world peace, prosperity and promote common development.

On the occasion, the Chinese Embassy hosted a reception in the capital.Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar and other high level government officials and representatives from the diplomatic missions attended the function.

At the function, Nepalese students performed various dances and sporting events that resembled Chinese cultures and religions.
