Around 11:00 am today, a man, with a knife in hand, barged into the inpatient department of the 2nd Affiliated Hospital to Anhui Medical University, in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province.
Five medical workers were stabbed, according to local website.
The head nurse, who was badly injured in the accident, died despite emergency rescue efforts.
The other four victims are in stable conditions at this moment, but still under treatment.
Local reporter learned from the hospital that the assailant used to seek medical treatment at this hospital.
The man has already been held in custody; and the investigation is underway.
