BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Congratulations have continued toflow in from countries, political parties and organizations acrossthe world to Xi Jinping on his election as general secretary of theCommunist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
French President Francois Hollande said: "I extend my warmestcongratulations on your election as the general secretary of theCommunist Party of China."
"It is in the spirit of mutual trust and future orientation thatI want to work with you to deepen relations between France andChina within the framework of the overall strategic partnershipbetween France and China," Hollande said in the message.
The France-China friendship dates back to long time ago and and"our partnership has played a pioneering role," he said.
"We will celebrate in 2014 the 50th anniversary of theestablishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic ofFrance and the People's Republic of China. It will be a great eventwhich gives us the opportunity to further deepen our relationshipand cooperation," he said.
"I am personally committed to the development of our relations,which must be based on stability, mutual respect and reciprocity,"the French president said.
"I wish you every success in your new position," Hollandesaid.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow also sent his mostsincere congratulations to Xi on his election as the generalsecretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPCCentral Military Commission.
Berdimuhamedow said Turkmenistan sets a high value on itsfriendly relations with China, which is based on equality,reciprocity, mutual respect and trust.
The cooperation and understanding between the two countries havereached a high level, which will serve as a solid foundation forthe sustained development of bilateral ties and mutually beneficialcooperation between the two countries, Berdimuhamedow said.
President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh said he was convincedthat under Xi's leadership, China will continue the win-winstrategic partnership it established with Africa.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said Xi's election provesthat his personal contribution and achievements have won extensiverecognition.
Azarov hopes that the Ukraine-China traditional friendship andmutual understanding will further promote comprehensive developmentof bilateral ties, and enlarge reciprocal cooperation between thetwo sides in the interest of the two peoples.
Political leader of the Dominica Labor Party, Prime MinisterRoosevelt Skerrit, said in a message: "We in Dominica have followedthe process very closely and are encouraged by the seamless powertransition exhibited in the electoral process instituted by yourparty over the years."
"Your distinguished profile has prepared you for this task,which we are convinced, you will undertake with the vigor andtenacity required," he said.
Vice Chairman of the Belgian Socialist Party Andre Flahaut, whois also president of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, senthis congratulations to Xi on his election.
He said he and his party attach great importance to advancingthe relationship with the CPC.
The two parties have a privileged relationship, Flahaut said,adding that he was convinced that it will be perpetuated in thefuture.
Ranko Krivokapic, president of the Social Democratic Party ofMontenegro and parliament speaker, congratulated Xi on his electionas the general secretary of the CPC central committee.
Krivokapic said in the message that he hopes Xi couldsuccessfully lead China forward along a path that featurescomprehensive development in politics, economy and society.
He also expected that the two parties could deepen theircooperation, and promote their friendship.
Former Bolivian President Jorge Quiroga said China's profoundeconomic transformation has already made a difference in the world,and its rapid economic development has brought unique opportunitiesto South America.
Quiroga believed China, led by Xi, will surely become theworld's largest economy in a few years, while at the same time helpboost economic development in Latin America.
Jhala Nath Khanal, chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal(Unified Marxist Leninist) and the country's ex-prime minister,said he hoped the CPC, under Xi's leadership, would continue tolead the Chinese people in developing the socialist market economyand building a prosperous country with a strong cultural softpower.
Khanal said he was glad to see China, which has become a globalpower, has still followed the policy of peaceful development andopposed various forms of hegemonism.
Evangelos Venizelos, former deputy prime minister of Greece andthe president of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement, believed Xi'scommitment to prosperity and a better quality of life for theChinese people, to a better environment, reforms and openness is ofmajor importance.
Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif saidhe had the honor of meeting Xi during his visit to Beijing inJanuary 2010.
He was confident that under Xi's dynamic leadership,Pakistan-China relations will scale new heights of growth anddevelopment, to the mutual benefit of the two countries.

Jeronimo de Sousa, general secretary of the Communist Party ofPortugal, hoped Xi would be successful in China's socialismbuilding, boosting social progress, and promoting world peace.
