The victim of the high-profile gang rape case implicating Li Tianyi, son of two famous military tenors, has come to life after an abrupt coma on August 21 night and is expected to be transferred to a hospital with stronger mental disease expertise for further treatment.

Tian Canjun, the attorney of the victim Ms Yang, posted on his personal microblog that his client passed out in her temporary residence at around eight o’clock last night.

He tweeted in a separate post about two hours later that Yang has come to herself after being hospitalized. She was required to remain in the hospital under observation before transferred to another hospital with higher reputation in mental disease treatment today.

Tian told the reporter he was discussing the rape case with Yang on telephone when she suddenly fell silence. It was Yang’s friend who lives with her that told him she fell unconscious.

Yang said in a later interview that she felt weak all over her body accompanied by chest stuffiness and headache before passing out. It could be a result of her mental distress and malnutrition of late, said Tian.
