Statues of Monk Jianzhen and Buddha Lushena displayed in Tokyo

BEIJING, Jan. 13(xinhua)--Statues of Monk Jianzhen and Buddha Lushena are displayed in the National Tokyo Museum Jan. 12, 2005. Monk Jianzhen succeeded in crossing the sea to Japan for the 6th time in 753 AD at the age of 66. Since then, he had stayed in Toshodai Temple in, Nara, to which he had made his contribution in the designing in the construction. During his stay in Japan, he had helped a lot with the cultural exchange between China and Japan. Jianzhen's body was buried in Toshodai Temple after death.
