Dalian-Taipei direct flights take off

The first direct flight from Dalian in northeast China' s Liaoning province to Taipei took off on Saturday afternoon.

At 15:10, a Hainan Airlines Boeing 737-800 departed the Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport with a scheduled arrival time of 18:00 at Taipei.

An hour earlier, passengers from Taiwan got off the same plane at the Dalian Airport.

The Hainan Airlines flight will have scheduled departures from Dalian Airport every Saturday, while a Taiwan-based TransAsia Airways jetliner will leave from Taipei for Dalian every Sunday.
